Sitter Portraits
Baby sitter session photography is a milestone session in a baby’s first year. The session takes place when your baby can sit and crawl, but doesn’t yet walk.
Every baby develops differently, so a sitter session is usually scheduled when a baby is around 6-9 months old. Babies are very interactive at this age and are full of genuine expressions. They smile easily, they giggle and make these adorable faces.
For these sessions I allow up to one hour for photographing two set-ups (1 light and 1 dark) and an outfit change. Specialist sitter session outfits and use of all props can be provided within your session price.
£50 Session fee is not included in the package prices. This fee covers studio session time with an experienced photographer and personalised set-up. This is to be paid upon booking.
Image packages start from £99.

Frequently Asked Questions
SITTER SESSIONS
When should I book my session?
You can get in touch whenever you're baby starts being able to sit up unaided, usually between 6-9 months old although sessions can be taken outside this age range too.
What can I expect from my session?
My sitter milestone sessions are only around 45 minutes long (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer, depending on baby's mood on the day) as I'm sure you're aware babies of this age don't like to sit still for long periods of time.
How do I prepare for my session?
Try to give your child little bits of sponge cake in the weeks and days leading up to their smash. You'd be surprised how many parents have forgotten this importrant step which nearly always results in baby being too scared to touch or taste the cake!
What do I need to bring?
Apart from your changing bag, and snacks and water/juice for the little one you don't need to bring anything else.
Can I take photos?
You are more than welcome to take a few behind the scenes shots (as I love to see and post those on my social media too!), but make sure those BTS photos do not impede on the shots I am being paid to take for you.
Can I/my partner/children/pets be included in the photos?
Yes absolutely! I love to include parents and siblings your child's sitter milestone portraits, as they can provide a great variety of images for your final gallery. Please let me know beforehand whether you'd like to incorporate others into your sitter session.
What should we wear for our photos?
It is always best to stick to neutral colours (browns, creams, beiges, whites etc) without any big patterns, prints or logos. It might also be a good idea to coordinate with your child's outfit(s).
How long does it take for my photos to be ready?
Your final edits should take around 1-2 weeks. During this time I will be retouching any skin blemishes and fixing hair, backgrounds and outfits by hand to make sure everything is perfect for your final images. I will also order any products or wall art you may have ordered which takes up to 10 working days to be delivered.
How do I choose my photos?
After your session I will choose the best 20 or so images with some basic editing to the colours and background etc, but no full skin retouching yet. Around a week after your session I will upload your images to a private online gallery for you to have a look through and choose which final images you'd like to purchase.
What do you provide?
I provide all of the backdrops, props, outfits unless you wanted to bring your own. The outfits in my studio range in sizes from 3 months to 12 months so there will definietly be the right size for your little one. For my outfits, I tend to stick to neutral-coloured rompers (both short- and long-sleeved) in browns, beiges, cremes, whites and greys. If you'd like a particular colour which I haven't mentioned, please let me know in advance so I can make sure I have the outfit in stock for your session.
"We've used Paige twice now and her work is fantastic! Not just for the photos she takes but how she interacts with our children. They love her and can't wait for the next photo shoot."
